In mid 1987 CBR in collaboration with PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (PT. KAI - at that time still called PJKA / Perumka) to work on the face cleaning towel project, which was later developed into facial tissue for train passengers.

On 25 January 1996, CBR established a new company with the name of Metz Indonesia pursuing in the aspect of medical supply. Metz Indonesia invented PASTIK, the first soft alcohol based cotton for injection in Indonesia.

The usage of chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) was proven to increase the effectivity in killing germs and bacteria on the skin surfaces during the procedure. Hence a new product named HEXISWAB PLUS was invented which contained chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) in it.
